HS2

Upon being elected in 2019, I joined the HS2 Review Group. This was a group of colleagues from across the country who were keen to see the Government look again at the need for this project. We made direct representations with both the DfT and No.10.

While I was disappointed with the decision to go ahead with HS2, I do believe this marked the end of the 11 year campaign to stop HS2. This is not to say I don't still think the project is a bad idea.

This is a national infrastructure project which will have a big impact on the constituency. As such I intend to use this page to post updates and developments with the project which will be helpful to constituents. I may also create other pages for specific issues which crop up as the project develops.

My Local News, February 2020

It’s been a busy few weeks in my new role as the MP for Ruislip, Northwood and Pinner. In the constituency I’ve kept a packed diary, and I have enjoyed meeting with and hearing from many local residents. I’ve already held drop-in surgeries and coffee mornings in Pinner, Hatch End, and Harefield, and I will continue to host future weekly drop-ins on either Mondays or Fridays in each ward. It’s been brilliant helping tackle individual concerns and discussing both local and national issues.
