It was a real pleasure to visit the wonderful family-run Church Gardens in Harefield this week, alongside my excellent colleague Simon Baynes.
I was fascinated to learn about the incredible hard work that has gone into steadily bringing the gardens back from the brink of dereliction and transforming them into an inspiring, innovative and sustainably productive garden. It was interesting to learn about this journey from Kay and her family, as well as to hear about the progress that continues to be made and what plans are in place for the future.
Residents may be interested to know that the gardens are open to the public on specific days - open days and guided tour days - and I would very much recommend a visit to see the beautiful gardens and to sample of the delicious home-made refreshments. You can find out more on the Church Gardens website, which can be accessed here.
