Survey: Priorities for Household Finances and the Economy

In July, the electorate voted for a change in government for the first time in 14 years and we have recently reached the first 100 days of this new administration.

With this in mind, and as we look ahead to the Budget in less than a fortnights' time, I am inviting residents to take part in my short online survey on Labour's First 100 Days.

I am interested in hearing your perspective - however you voted - on what we have seen so far and your priorities for the future, with a particular focus on household finances and the economy.

This survey will remain open until 29 October. Please note that sections 2 and 3 are not compulsory.

Looking at the policies already announced by the Government, which do you or your household currently feel most concerned about?
Given the announcements so far, do you feel that under the new Government you will be:
Looking ahead to the Budget, which of these would you like to see prioritised and/or protected by the Chancellor?
A freeze on fuel duty, the Household Support Fund and the pension triple lock were just some of the measures implemented by the previous Government to help with the cost of living. Would you like these to remain a priority in this Budget?
How confident do you feel about the future of your finances under a Labour Government?
The Government claims tax rises are essential to plug a fiscal blackhole of 22bn, which is 1.6% of government expenditure. What steps would you prefer the Government to take in order to bridge this gap?
