I am delighted to have opened the Pinner Rotary Village Show on Saturday. This is an established major annual event for the community, organised by Pinner Rotary and held at the Pinner Memorial Park.
Not only is the Pinner Village Show a brilliant day out for families, but it also raises money for local charities, such as Harrow Mind and the Purple Community Fund. I know the team anticipate having reached around £5,500 this weekend, which is simply fantastic.
New to the show this year was the Charity Hub in Pinner Village Hall, where representatives of 16 local charities and community groups had the opportunity to engage with residents and share information about their organisations. The feedback on this, as well as from stallholders, entertainers and the public has been really positive, which is brilliant to hear.
A special thanks to the 50 Rotary volunteers who were on duty and ensured the event ran smoothly and successfully.
