This morning, I met with Pritee at Howletts Pharmacy in Ruislip to discuss support for the sector.
Following a campaign led by the pharmacy, and supported by residents from across the constituency, I wrote to the Health Secretary to seek assurances that the Government will further the work of the previous administration to empower and support pharmacies across the UK.
In light of this campaign, it was useful to see first-hand the value of these services and their benefits for the community. This only sought to highlight how much is under threat from the challenges they face.
I was also joined by Ruislip Councillor Philip Corthorne, who sits on the Health and Social Care Select Committee at Hillingdon Council and will be able to raise this at a local level.
Of course, I will continue my work with colleagues to ensure the necessary funding and investment in our pharmacies so they are able to continue to provide communities with their vital services.
