I am aware of the concerning reports circulating via social media and WhatsApp which claim that protest will take place in Harrow on Wednesday 7 August.
I have engaged with local police teams this morning, who I am aware are also working closely with Harrow Council to investigate these posts. Of course, if verified, I have been assured that the safety of our community will be prioritised.
In the meantime, while I await further updates, the police have asked for residents to remain calm. Any instances of hate crime should be reported to the police through the usual channels.
