Over summer, a number of constituents contacted me about support for local pharmacies. This campaign was partly orchestrated by the excellent Howletts Pharmacy in Ruislip, but also driven by residents who have understandable concerns about the impact of funding cuts on the excellent local businesses they rely upon.
These pharmacies provide the skills and knowledge vital for the health of my constituents. The work undertaken by pharmacists and their teams is incredibly important for so many of my constituents but often goes overlooked as we take their presence for granted.
On behalf of my constituents, I have recently written to the Secretary of State for Health asking what support he will be putting in place for these businesses over the coming years and whether he will maintain the support provided by his predecessors in the Department for Health and Social Care.
I had expected a response by now, but you can read what I asked below.
