I was delighted to be able to visit Ruislip High Street last week, which was once again thriving in the late summer sunshine.
My first stop was at Scope, where I meet with the team and thanked them for the fantastic work they are doing to help raise funds for the charity, whose vital work helps to support disabled people and their families. After a very difficult period, I am pleased to see the shop re-open safely and to hear about the incredible support from the local community. I would encourage residents who would like to donate, find a hidden gem, or give some time to volunteer, to visit the Ruislip Scope shop.
I also stopped in at Vito's Cafe on the high street. I had scheduled a coffee shop surgery there in March, which I regretfully had to postpone due to Covid-19 restrictions. It was great to see the cafe open again and I hope to be able to host my next surgery there once it is safe to do so.
