Having been a long-term opponent of the HS2 route, I have continued to advocate on behalf of Ruislip, Northwood and Pinner in Parliament. I have joined the HS2 Review group, led by many active colleagues with constituencies along the line of route, and we are making representations to Downing Street on behalf of our affected constituents concerning enabling works and the future of the project. In the last week I have visited HOAC and Dews Farm in Harefield, and I have committed to supporting those affected by HS2’s plans. I hope to make the case at a meeting in Downing Street in the coming days and I will also be writing to the Minister at the Department for Transport. This is a live issue and I will endeavour to keep you updated.
