This afternoon I had the pleasure of talking to representatives from Hillingdon Friends of the Earth. I am grateful to Hardip and Steve who took the time to discuss the concerns of residents across Hillingdon.
Hillingdon’s Friends of the Earth have been providing a strong voice for local residents especially when it comes to protecting our local environment for over thirty years. The group is always eager to raise their concerns with myself and other local MPs and I am always happy to hear from them on a wide variety of issues.
Over the years there has always been overlap between their work and my work both as a councillor and later as MP. We have worked together to object to Heathrow’s 3rd runway proposals and worked to alleviate the impact of HS2 on the Colne Valley.
