I was delighted to be back at We Love Coffee in Harefield last week, hosting my first coffee shop surgery since Covid-19 restrictions were fully lifted. It was a real pleasure to see Tushar and the team once again and to be able to speak with residents about their concerns and priorities face-to-face.
Whilst in Harefield, I also took the opportunity to support the Federation of Small Businesses' #MyHiddenGems campaign, which shines a spotlight on our brilliant small businesses and encourages as many of them as possible to be part of reopening and summer holiday plans.
Harefield is just one of the many fantastic local high streets we are lucky to have across Ruislip, Northwood and Pinner, and is made up of many small, independent businesses that are dearly cherished by residents. We Love Coffee is one of these hidden gems, offering a fantastic selection of cakes and snacks, a child-friendly environment and a lovely outdoor area at the back. There are even cocktails on the menu!
These small businesses are the backbone of our local economy and have sadly been hit acutely hard by the pandemic. Even after reopening, key challenges remain. That is why I am joining the campaign to encourage residents to support local businesses and visit their hidden gems this summer. I would love to hear about them, so please feel free to connect with me on social media to let me know about your favourite places.
