It was a pleasure to meet with the Friends of Eastcote House Gardens this morning, a tremendous group of volunteers who look after this great local amenity.
This is a popular spot with residents, some of whom I understand visit daily to enjoy the peace and calm of the gardens. In fact, the gardens are so impressive that the wisteria arch (when in full bloom) was featured on the cover of Country Life magazine earlier this year.
We are fortunate to be spoilt for choice with the greenspaces on our doorstep in Ruislip, Northwood and Pinner, and I know their value and importance was highlighted during the pandemic. Behind all of these places is a team of volunteers who work exceptionally hard to keep them clean and tidy for residents to use and enjoy.
I am grateful to the Friends of Eastcote House Gardens for keeping this local treasure well preserved.
